The Huntington Tri-State Airport was looking to update its image and branding to a more modern look. We utilized natural colors, meant to represent earth and sky, as well as a swoosh with the airplane to add an element of design and movement. Additionally, we were tasked with creating a logo for the Huntington Jet Center, a full service FBO, that coordinated with the main airport logo but also maintained its own identity.
For the first time ever, Huntington participated in the "America in Bloom" competition and asked us to create a logo for their new organization, Huntington in Bloom. The goal was to create a recognizable brand among members of our community to promote the competition to Huntington. Savor Huntington promotes local dining and orchestrates food-related events in the Huntington area. The challenge with this logo was creating one that represents both fast-casual dining and upscale restaurants. We kept the logo clean and neutral, utilizing colors that were prevalent in the community and not tied to a particular university. The fork and plate, incorporated into the word Savor, were simple, recognizable items that could stand for any restaurant.
Kisingo is a new girls center in Kenya that provides training and education to equip women to find jobs in their community. They needed a logo that was representative of the culture but also appealed to donors in the West. We were charged with modernizing an existing logo using a simple image that easily conveyed the practice. We chose silhouettes that represented the two main animals and included a heart and cross that represent the caring medical attention each animal receives. We also created a tagline that can be used to support the logo but is not necessary to represent the company.
Italian culture was the inspiration for this design. The new Italian restaurant features authentic flavors of Southern Italy, hospitality, and handmade recipes, and we wanted the logo to reflect that. The challenge was to develop a brand that would sustain its ever-changing competitors.
The logo was the first step in developing this brand for a start-up company out of Dallas, Texas that produces organic, all-natural dog shampoo and conditioner. When Marshall Community & Technical College separated from Marshall University, it needed its own identity. The institution needed not only a new look, but a new name. After much collaboration, Mountwest Community & Technical College was chosen to represent both the physical location of the school and the journey to higher education. Gimme 5 is a local, one-location café focusing on fresh foods made within five minutes. We were given the task of creating a simple logo that conveyed that concept. This organization has been a staple in the Tri-state community for many years. We utilized the bridge for their logo for dual purposes – an area icon to represent the community the Foundation serves and a metaphor for what they do, bridging the gap between organizations and what they aim to accomplish.
